CUPA PIZARRAS natural slate, the most suitable choice for Chimney Pot Park in Salford
CUPA PIZARRAS covers Chimney Pot Park, a project to revitalise 349 century-old terraced houses in Salford (UK).
Our CUPA 5 natural slate has been used as the roofing material of choice for the entire scheme, complementing the cleaned up original brickwork and modern 'chimney' rooflights.
CUPA 5, EXCEPTIONALLY DURABLE
Our CUPA 5 is a pale grey slate with a riven surface and can be split to a thickness of 5mm.
Our natural slate is exceptionally durable and environmentally friendly, making this the most suitable choice for this housing development.
A MODERN REGENERATION
The two-storey houses, built in 1910, were practically worthless and largely uninhabited before the project.
Each house has been totally remodelled and raised first floor gardens have been created to relate exterior space to the first floor living.
Shedkm and Urban Splash's project has won Riba & Gold Roses Design Award, Housing Design Awards Overall, and Mipim Award for best residential project in 2008.
