CUPA PIZARRAS natural slate, the best roofing material for the Castle of Gruyères in the Ardennes
CUPA PIZARRAS covers the Castle of Gruyères, located in the french department of Ardennes.
Our CUPA 5 natural slate was the perfect choice for the preservation of one listed historic monument. The huge Castle of Gruyères was restored by our french partners, Rudy Fortier.
CUPA 5 NATURAL SLATE
CUPA 5 is a pale grey slate with a riven surface, split into thicknesses of 5 mm and between 7-8 mm for the Heavy variant.
Our natural slate is available in a variety of formats such as square, rectangular, rounded or rustic.
A LISTED HISTORIC MONUMENT
The Castle of Gruyères is a 16th century building. Surrounded by a moat and two circular corner towers, the castle shows the evolution from a fortified house to a classic country residence in France. In 2010, the Castle of Gruyères became a listed historic monument.
We are proud our CUPA 5 natural slate helped recover the elegance of a small part of French's great architectural legacy.
